1. Digging and planting holes
Regardless of whether the loquat is planted on the flat land or on the mountain, the planting point should be measured according to the planning requirements, and the planting hole should be dug on the measured planting point, and the topsoil and subsoil should be placed separately. The bales can be dug with a pit digger. In places with heavy soil and poor drainage, digging planting holes is easy to cause waterlogging and rotten roots, and it is better to open planting trenches (drainage grooves).
The planting ditch is connected to both ends of the drainage ditch or terrace, and the depth and width of the ditch are generally about 1 meter. Place the topsoil and core soil on both sides, and then add organic fertilizer. The Tillage Helper recommends applying 100 kg of organic fertilizer to each plant, adding calcium, magnesium, and phosphate fertilizers to acidic soils, adding superphosphate to alkaline soils, and mixing them with the soil.
It is best to dig loquat planting holes or planting trenches one year before planting, and plant one or two seasons of green manure on it to fully mature the lower soil and increase the source of organic matter. The size of the loquat planting hole should be determined according to the thickness of the soil layer, the size of the slope, the low groundwater level and the soil moisture.
It is advisable to dig large pits for planting in areas where conditions permit. For soil with pebble layer or white dry soil in the lower layer, soil must be removed or replaced before planting trees. Otherwise, the root system development will be inhibited, resulting in poor development of the above ground, and the width of the planting hole will not be wide. It should be less than 1 meter, and the depth should not be less than 0.8 meters. In the water network area, the lowering of the groundwater level should be placed in a prominent position, and deep trenches and high furrows or piers should be used for planting.

2. Preparation of loquat seedlings
Whether self-bred or purchased seedlings, varieties should be checked, registered, and listed before planting, and errors should be corrected in time to avoid confusion in planting. In addition, quality grading of seedlings should be carried out, requiring complete and robust roots, thick branches and leaves, no serious pests and diseases, and a height of more than 30 cm. For deformed seedlings, weak seedlings, too many wounds and poor quality seedlings Take it out and deal with it separately, such as false planting in situ, strengthen management, and plant it after it has grown strong.
If the seedlings are purchased from a distance, they should be unpacked in time due to the loss of water. The bare root seedlings should be soaked in the roots for more than 10 hours. After fully absorbing water, the roots should be dipped in mud before planting or false planting. Fake planting for 1 to 2 years, centralized management, so that the tree grows robustly, and then the large seedlings are planted in the orchard with soil, and the effect is good.

3. loquat seedling planting method
First mix half of the subsoil and topsoil, add decomposed manure or compost, and set aside. In the planting hole, first add a layer of coarse organic matter and lime, and then add a layer of spare fertile soil, then another layer of coarse organic matter and another layer of fertile soil, until it is almost level with the ground, and then add the other half of the topsoil to the ground. The fully decomposed manure and compost are mixed well. The immature organic fertilizer is easy to damage the seedling roots, so do not let it touch or get close to the seedling roots, and then put the seedlings into the pit according to the planting plan of the variety, so that the roots are evenly distributed at the bottom of the pit. Align the front and rear, left and right, calibrate the position, and stretch the root system. Then fill the fertile soil into the pit in layers. Each layer should be firmed with feet, and the seedlings should be lifted up and down slightly at any time to make the root system closely connect with the soil until the mound on the planting hole is 20-30 cm above the ground. (to supplement sinking soil).
The loquat seedlings should be irrigated immediately after planting. It is required to be fully irrigated and thoroughly irrigated. Do not pour concentrated manure water or water on the trunk and leaves. Frequent watering or dilute manure water is required within 1 month to keep the soil moist. If the leaves are not cut in half before planting, half of the leaves should be cut off after planting.

4. Precautions for planting loquat seedlings
1. Loquat seedlings should not be planted too deep. After the soil subsides, the joint part of the seedling scion and the rootstock will be exposed on the top. If it is planted too deep, not only the growth will be affected, but it will also be easily infected with rotten feet.
2. When planting loquat seedlings, the roots must be stretched straight and not bent, and the seedling roots should be protected as much as possible. For seriously injured seedling roots, appropriate pruning should be done to avoid root rot after planting and affect growth.
3. In addition to the loquat varieties with poor self-fertilization, it should be planted in different varieties, because the growth characteristics of each variety are different. The ripening period of the fruit is also different, the varieties can be clearly distinguished, and the management of fertilizer cultivation is convenient.
4. The seedlings should be planted upright and not skewed. In places with strong winds, pillars should be inserted after planting the seedlings.
