Cyantraniliprole is the second diamide insecticide developed by the former DuPont Company after chlorantraniliprole. It has a broad spectrum of activity, with both stomach and contact effects. It controls not only Lepidoptera pests, but also Hemiptera, Coleoptera, and Diptera pests. It can be used against whiteflies, thrips, aphids, stink bugs, American leafminers, beet armyworms, rice leaf rollers, striped stem borers, yellow stem borers, fruit flies, and beetles. It is particularly active against whiteflies (including B- and Q-type whiteflies), leafminers, and beetles.

Mechanism of Action and Targets
Cyantraniliprole activates the ryanodine receptors of target insects, forcing the release of calcium ions stored in striated and smooth muscle cells. This leads to motor disturbances, paralysis, and ultimately death.
Cyantraniliprole is a chlorantraniliprole analog. In addition to its excellent permeability, conductivity, chemical stability, and high insecticidal activity, it also possesses strong systemic activity, resulting in more thorough insecticide control.
After application, cyantraniliprole is transported through the xylem and distributed throughout the plant. Therefore, it can achieve effective insecticide efficacy regardless of application method, including spraying, root irrigation, or soil application.
Cyantraniliprole is applicable to a wide range of crops and has a broad insecticide spectrum, controlling both chewing and piercing-sucking pests, including Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, and Hemiptera. It can be used on vegetables, corn, sugarcane, cereals, fruit trees, cotton, soybeans, and rice to control pests such as whiteflies, whiteflies, rice leaf rollers, striped stem borers, striped stem borers, thrips, aphids, leafminers, bean pod borers, cucurbit borers, cotton bollworms, beet armyworms, cabbage loopers, fruit flies, and beetles. The dosage of the active ingredient is 10-100 g/hm². The main formulations include dispersible oil suspensions, suspension concentrates, granules, and suspoemulsions.
Cyantraniliprole is a chlorantraniliprole analogue. Compared to the other two, cyantraniliprole has a wider range of applications and a broader insecticide spectrum.
Currently, cyantraniliprole has been used in crops such as fruits, vegetables, rice, ornamental nurseries, greenhouse crops, and lawns to control pests such as the striped stem borer, yellow stem borer, bean pod borer, melon borer, cotton bollworm, beet armyworm, cabbage worm, whitefly, whitefly, aphid, leafminer, thrips, white grubs, cutworms, and two-spotted armyworm.
It is also used in non-agricultural applications, such as pest control. As a nicotinic acid receptor inhibitor, cyantraniliprole has strong lethality against target pests, is safe for mammals, and has good environmental compatibility.
