What are the precautions during the use of fungicides?

In the process of using pesticides, in addition to wearing protective clothing, the safe use of fungicides must follow the recommendations in the following aspects.

(1) Accurately calculate the amount of spraying and spraying liquid

Pre-accurately calculate the amount of spraying and spraying liquid according to the area of farmland and the type of crops. For the spraying amount of highly toxic pesticides, special attention should be paid to the accuracy of the calculation. The amount of spraying liquid depends on the growth status of the crop plants.

Diseases often occur in different growth periods of crops, therefore, the amount of spraying liquid will inevitably change accordingly. The amount of pesticide applied will directly affect the amount of pesticide used. Users know the conditions of their own farmland best, and they can master it by accumulating experience in each spraying.

(2) Pay attention to the safety issues when preparing liquid medicine

When the applicator is in direct contact with undiluted high-concentration fungicide, the risk of contamination with the fungicide is the greatest, and special attention must be paid.

First of all, when opening the bottle to take the medicine, use a special pipetting tool to avoid the high-concentration medicine liquid caused by the medicine liquid flowing into the barrel of the sprayer from contacting the operator. This contact is likely to cause pollution and poisoning;

Secondly, protective gloves must be worn when taking the medicine to avoid contact with the original pesticide.

(3) Safety issues during pesticide spraying

The sprayed pesticides are diluted liquids that have been diluted with water, and the risk of medium and high toxicity has been greatly reduced, but the highly toxic pesticide mist sprayed on the operator may still cause pollution and poisoning risks, so it is necessary to wear protective clothing when spraying highly toxic pesticides, especially Especially sensitive parts such as the nose, eyes, and mouth must be protected.

In addition, attention must also be paid to the dripping of the liquid medicine that occurs during spraying. The knapsack-type manual sprayer is still widely used in my country at present. The top is also prone to water leakage.

Therefore, before use, the spray equipment must be carefully inspected to ensure that no leakage of the liquid medicine occurs. The operator should start spraying the liquid medicine from the upwind of the farmland. Soap and sufficient clean water must be prepared for cleaning at the pesticide application site, and should not be mixed with drinking water.

(4) Disposal after spraying

① The unused pesticide raw materials must be properly restored to the state of tight packaging, sealed and brought back.

② Empty pesticide packaging bags should be taken to wasteland far away from villages and towns to dig pits and bury them deeply. After digging the pit, first put the empty packaging bag of the powdery original drug into the bottom of the pit and burn it thoroughly.

③ Clean the sprayer and dispensing equipment several times with a small amount of clean water, add about 0.5L of clean water to the medicine barrel each time, shake the barrel body to clean the inner wall of the medicine barrel, then shake the crank handle to pressurize, and spray the water in the barrel through the nozzle. This will clean the tubing and nozzles of the tank. All the sprayed cleaning water is sprayed on the field soil, and it is enough to repeat the cleaning 3 to 4 times in this way. After the sprayer is cleaned, it must be hung for a period of time, and the switch is turned on to hang the spray pipe upside down, so that the water in the sprayer medicine barrel and spray pipe is completely drained, dried, and then put away.

④ The protective clothing and other protective equipment that have been taken off should be immediately washed 2 to 3 times and stored in a dry place. Other equipment should also be washed immediately and put back to the original place for storage.

⑤ When conditions permit, it is better for operators to take a shower once, especially after using highly toxic pesticides, it is better to take a shower with soap.

⑥ Pesticide spraying equipment and protective equipment and other related tools should be stored in special cabinets and locked in the same way as pesticides, and should not be mixed with daily utensils.
