What diseases does polyoxin control?

The main components of Polyoxin are polyoxin A and polyoxin B, which belong to the peptide pyrimidine nucleotide fungicide. It is easily soluble in water, stable to ultraviolet rays, acidic and neutral solutions, and unstable when exposed to alkali. So, what diseases does polyoxin control? What pesticides can polyoxin be mixed with? Let's find out together below.

polyoxin applications

1. What diseases does Polyoxin control?

Polyoxin is mainly used to control a variety of diseases and is ineffective against diseases.

To control vegetable seedling blight, use 2% wettable powder 500 times diluted in the soil.

To control cucumber downy mildew and powdery mildew, use 1% aqueous solution 500~1000 ml per mu, and spray it with water normally.

To control cucumber gray mold, use 10% wettable powder 100~140 grams per mu, spray it with water normally, or spray it with 500~700 times diluted.

To prevent and control early blight of tomatoes, spray 2% wettable powder at 800-1000 times dilution at the early stage of the disease; for late blight and gray mold of tomatoes, spray 10% wettable powder at 500-800 times dilution.

2. What pesticides can Polyoxin be mixed with?

(1) 2% polyoxin + 44% mancozeb

While protecting crops, polyoxin can also be absorbed by crops into the body to produce a therapeutic effect. It can also prevent and control leaf spot disease of apple trees. Dilute 800-1000 times dilution with water and spray. Spray 2-3 times continuously before the apples are covered with bags after the flowers wither, and use it again in the autumn shoot stage.

(2) 0.8% polyoxin + 25% thiram

Polyoxin belongs to the broad-spectrum class and can inhibit the spore production of pathogens and prevent the spread of lesions. Thiram is a protective agent. The two are mixed together to have a good control effect on cucumber downy mildew. 150-200 g/mu for cucumber downy mildew control.

(3) 1.5% polyoxin + 68.5% propineb

The combination of the two can inhibit the oxidation of copper propionate in the pathogen, interfere with the biosynthesis of chitin in the bacterial cell wall, hinder the normal development of the bud tube and mycelium, and eventually lead to death. To prevent and control leaf spot disease on apple trees, 800-1000 times liquid can be used for spraying. Start spraying at the early stage or early stage of the onset of leaf spot disease on apple trees, and the interval between spraying is about 10-15 days. One thing to note is that when spraying, the leaves of the whole plant should be sprayed evenly.

(4) 2% polyoxin + 8% difenoconazole

Difenoconazole is a triazole agent. Its main function is to inhibit the biosynthesis of ergosterol in pathogenic cells, thereby destroying the cell membrane structure and tissue function; polyoxin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic pesticide that can achieve a preventive effect and has good stability. The two can be used together to effectively prevent and control diseases such as wheat fusarium head blight. At the beginning of wheat flowering, the dosage is 25-30 grams per mu, and the spray is applied once every 7 days. It can be sprayed twice in a row.

(5) 10% polyoxin + 20% tebuconazole

Tebuconazole has protective, therapeutic and systemic effects. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the demethylation of ergosterol on the cell membrane of pathogens and also has the effect of promoting crop growth. When used at the recommended dose, it has a good control effect on apple tree brown spot disease. To prevent and control brown spot disease on apple trees, dilute 2000-3000 times and spray. Apply the drug three times in the early stage of brown spot disease on apple trees, with an interval of 10-15 days. One thing to note is that the interval between applications should be shortened during the rainy season, and it should not be mixed with alkaline pesticides and other substances.

(6) 5% polyoxin + 45% oxine-copper

Oxine-copper is an organic copper chelate that has good preventive and therapeutic effects on fungi and viruses. After spraying, a tight protective film is formed on the surface of the crop, which can effectively inhibit the germination and invasion of pathogens, thereby achieving the purpose of disease prevention and treatment. Polyoxin and
oxine-copper (spray with 800-1000 times dilution) can effectively prevent and control black spot disease on pear trees. Start using the drug in the early or early stages of the onset of black spot disease on pear trees. The maximum number of uses per quarter is 4 times, with one application every 10-15 days.

(7) 3% polyoxin + 7% pyraclostrobin

Polyoxin can protect functional leaves, reduce the mold layer on the leaves, and control the occurrence of rotten fruits, rotten flowers, and rotten leaves. Pyraclostrobin is a mitochondrial respiration inhibitor, which also has the function of protecting leaves and osmotic transmission. This drug combination has a good control effect on apple leaf spot disease. When controlling apple leaf spot disease, it can be diluted to 800-1000 times liquid and then sprayed.
