Mechanism of Action
Dinotefuran, as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist, acts on the central nervous system of insects. It inhibits nerve transmission, causing excitation, spasms, paralysis, and ultimately death in pests. It exhibits bidirectional transduction within plants, being rapidly absorbed by roots, stems, and leaves and distributed throughout the plant tissues.
Application Methods
1. Foliar Spray: For controlling aphids, thrips, whiteflies, and tobacco whiteflies on crops such as cotton, cucumber, zucchini, and peppers, apply 20-40 grams of 20% dinotefuran soluble granules per acre, diluted in 30 kg of water, at the initial stage of pest infestation. Spray evenly every 7 days, for a total of two applications to completely control pest damage. The effect lasts for approximately 30 days.
2. Soil Treatment: For controlling aphids and leafhoppers on fruit trees such as apple, pear, peach, and citrus, apply in conjunction with topdressing. Use 500-1000 grams of 1% dinotefuran granules per acre, mixed evenly with fertilizer, and spread around the fruit trees. This effectively controls aphids, leafhoppers, psyllids, and scale insects. The effect lasts for up to 90 days.
3. Topdressing: For controlling whiteflies, tobacco whiteflies, and other pests on crops such as tomatoes, peppers, watermelons, zucchini, melons, and beans, it can be used in conjunction with topdressing. It can quickly control damage from whiteflies, tobacco whiteflies, thrips, aphids, and other pests, with a residual effect lasting up to 50 days.
