Mode of Action	Chlorpyrifos is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and belongs to the class of phosphorothioate insecticides. By inhibiting the activity of acetylcholinesterase AChE or cholinesterase ChE in the nerves in the body, it destroys the normal nerve impulse conduction, causing a series of poisoning symptoms: abnormal excitement, convulsions, paralysis, and death.
