Chlorantraniliprole is a new type of insecticide. Its mechanism of action is to efficiently activate the nicotinic acid receptor in insect cells, causing the receptor channel to open abnormally for a long time, thereby excessively releasing calcium ions in the cell, and ultimately causing insect muscle paralysis and death. This mode of action combines the two pathways of stomach poison and contact killing, causing the pest to stop feeding within a few minutes after contact with the drug, quickly protecting the crop. The pest then shows loss of vitality and significant inhibition of growth, and eventually dies within 3 days. Chlorantraniliprole is mainly conducted from bottom to top through the xylem in plants.
