Flumetralin primarily targets shoots less than 2 cm in diameter and is relatively safe for branches and young fruit. It inhibits shoot growth by disrupting the plant's hormone balance, particularly the synthesis and transport of gibberellins. This inhibitory effect helps reduce nutrient consumption in fruit trees, allowing more nutrients and energy to be supplied to the fruit, promoting growth and development.

Flumetralin is a key growth control agent in tobacco, cotton, and citrus cultivation. Its scientific use requires strict adherence to the following guidelines:

🌱 Applicable Timing and Method
▶ Tobacco: Apply after manual topping from the bud elongation stage to the beginning of flowering, preferably using a cup spray or combined with bud shearing. Lateral buds exceeding 2.5 cm should be manually removed in advance.
▶ Cotton: Apply the drug in two separate applications for optimal results. The first application is when the plant height is 55-60cm and there are 3-5 fruiting branches (around mid-June). In hot weather (daily maximum temperature ≥ 35°C) or drought, two applications should be applied, seven days apart, mixed with 5-8g/mu of mepiquat. The second application is when the plant height is 75cm and there are 7-8 fruiting branches (mid-July). It is recommended to mix with 5-8g/mu of chlormequat. Ensure that the solution fully contacts the tops of the cotton plants.
▶ Citrus: Spray the entire plant at the beginning of summer shoot germination, strictly controlling the concentration to 2000mg/L, focusing on the upper and middle areas of the outer canopy.

Flumetralin is a low-toxic, highly effective plant growth regulator with both contact and local systemic properties. Flumetralin binds to tubulin in the plant's growing point cells, preventing the molecular motor from transporting tubulin and disrupting its polymerization function. This inhibits the rate of cell division at the growing point, promoting the transition from vegetative to reproductive growth. (Instructions) Top most plants promptly between the bud stage and the beginning of flowering. Remove axillary buds exceeding 2 cm in diameter. Straighten any leaning or fallen tobacco plants before applying the product, or apply the product 24 hours after topping.

Dilute the product 400-450 times with water and use a cup drench method, applying 15-20 ml of the solution to each plant.
