Soil-produced diseases, such as bacterial wilt, fusarium wilt, dry rot, sheath blight, root rot, damping off, etc., are very serious and often cause huge losses. In severe cases, the harvest may even be lost. The use of chemical pesticides for control is not only unsatisfactory, but can also cause soil pollution. Today, I would like to recommend to you an excellent agent for preventing and controlling soil-borne diseases, which is Bacillus subtilis.

1. Sterilization mechanism
Bacillus subtilis is a type of Bacillus that is widely distributed in the humus of hay. It is easy to multiply in the sap of hay, hence its name. Bacillus subtilis grows very fast and controls and kills pathogens mainly through competition for sites and nutrients.

(1) Competitive sterilization: Once Bacillus subtilis contacts the crop root system, it can rapidly reproduce and colonize on the crop, preventing the reproduction of other pathogens to achieve the purpose of disease prevention and control.
(2) Produce lytic substances for sterilization: Bacillus subtilis can also parasitize on pathogens and produce lytic substances, which can break and disintegrate the hyphae of pathogens or digest their cytoplasm.
(3) Produce bacteriolytic substances: Bacillus subtilis can also produce antibiotic substances to inhibit the reproduction and growth of pathogenic fungi and bacteria, thereby killing germs.

2. Main features
(1) Broad bactericidal spectrum: Bacillus subtilis is a Gram-positive bacterium. It can be used to prevent and control various diseases such as fusarium wilt, bacterial wilt, verticillium wilt, gray mold, root rot, sheath blight, black shank, powdery mildew, bakanae, bacterial blight, etc., with a particularly wide bactericidal spectrum.
(2) Low toxicity and environmental protection: Bacillus subtilis is produced through fermentation. It is low toxicity, safe and pollution-free. It is the first choice agent for the production of green agricultural products.
(3) Various usage methods: Bacillus subtilis mainly achieves the purpose of sterilization by parasitizing on crops, and can be used in various usage methods such as seed dressing, root irrigation, spraying, etc.
3. Applicable crops
It can be widely used in cucumber, tomato, watermelon, eggplant, pepper, wheat, rice, strawberry, tobacco, cotton, Panax notoginseng and other crops.
4. How to use
To prevent and control diseases such as fusarium wilt, bacterial wilt, and verticillium wilt of watermelons, cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers and other crops, the following methods can be used for prevention and control:
(1) Seed dressing: When sowing, use 1 billion live spores/g wettable powder and dress the seeds at a drug-to-seed ratio of 1:10 to 15.
(2) Root irrigation: Start irrigation before the onset of disease or in the early stages. Generally, 600-800 times of 1 billion viable spores/g wettable powder is used to irrigate the roots, and water downward along the base of the stem. Each plant needs 150-250 ml of the medicinal solution. Once every 10 to 15 days and need to be irrigated 2 to 3 times continuously, it can prevent and control pathogens from invading the plants and kill the pathogens on the crop surface.
5. Things to note
Bacillus subtilis is mainly used for soil conditioning, spraying, root irrigation, seed dressing and seed coating. Pay attention to the following points when spraying:
(1) Due to the small amount used, in order to reduce waste, the secondary dilution method must be used. The dosage of Bacillus subtilis is small. In order to reduce waste, when mixing the medicine, use a small container to fully dissolve the required amount of medicine and then pour it into the sprayer. Add water to the optimal level of the sprayer and spray.
(2) Apply pesticide before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. to avoid direct sunlight to kill spores. Especially when applying after 4 o'clock, the humid environment at night is more conducive to spore germination.
(3) Do not mix with copper preparations, streptomycin and other fungicides and alkaline pesticides. The best effect is achieved when the pesticide is applied at the early stage of the disease or before the onset of the disease. When applying pesticides, pay attention to spraying the liquid evenly to all parts of the crop.
