What is beta cyfluthrin?
Beta cyfluthrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide with contact and stomach action. It can cause extreme excitation, convulsions, and paralysis in insects by inducing neurotoxicity, ultimately blocking nerve conduction and also causing pathological damage to other tissues.
Is beta cyfluthrin safe for humans?
Beta cyfluthrin has moderate acute oral toxicity (based on rat studies), but its toxicity through skin contact is relatively low. Its toxic effects are closely related to the dosage. When used at recommended concentrations, it is relatively safe for mammals, while showing strong inhibitory effects on the insect nervous system. This selective toxicity makes it a common choice for agricultural and household pest control.
Product Features
Broad insecticidal spectrum, rapid knockdown, and long-lasting residual activity. Crops show good tolerance to it, but it has no systemic or penetrating action. It provides quick knockdown and long-lasting control against pests.
Applicable Crops and Target Pests
It is effective against both sucking and chewing pests on crops such as cotton, wheat, corn, vegetables, tomatoes, apples, citrus, grapes, rapeseed, and soybeans.
Application Method
1.For controlling boring pests such as rice stem borers, rice leaf folders, and cotton bollworms, apply by spraying a 1500–2000 times dilution of 2.5% EC during the peak egg hatching stage, before the larvae bore into the crops. Spray evenly on the parts of the crops affected by pests.
2.For controlling fruit tree pests such as the peach fruit borer, spray with a 2000–4000 times dilution of 2.5% EC, or add 25–500 mL of 2.5% EC to every 100 L of water for spraying.
3.For controlling the leaf miner (golden-striped leaf miner), apply during the peak adult emergence stage or peak egg hatching stage. Use a 1000–1500 times dilution of 2.5% EC, or add 50–66.7 mL of 2.5% EC to every 100 L of water for spraying.
4.For aphid control, application must be carried out before a major outbreak occurs. Spray the solution evenly onto the pests and the infested parts of the crops.
5.For controlling underground pests such as grubs, mole crickets, wireworms, and cutworms, use 80–160 mL of 12.5% SC for seed treatment. First, mix the required amount of pesticide with 2 L of water, then add the seeds and stir evenly to ensure the seeds are uniformly coated with the solution. Let them stand for 2–4 hours before sowing.
