How to use emamectin benzoate most effectively?

Emamectin benzoate is a highly effective, low-toxic, low-residue, non-polluting biological insecticide with a broad insecticide spectrum and a long lasting effect. It has a good control effect on a variety of pests and mites. It is deeply loved by farmers and is currently the best-selling insecticide.

Emamectin benzoate application

However, emamectin benzoate has a disadvantage, which is poor rapidity and strong pest resistance. Generally, it takes 3 to 4 days after application to kill pests. Many farmers mistakenly believe that the insecticide effect is not good. In fact, only one drug needs to be added, and the rapidity will be immediately improved, and the lasting effect will be longer. This drug is lambda-cyhalothrin.

The insecticide mechanism of emamectin benzoate

Emamectin benzoate mainly acts as a contact and stomach poison. When the drug enters the insect body, it can enhance the function of the pest nerves, disrupt nerve conduction, and cause irreversible paralysis. The larvae stop eating immediately after contact, and the highest mortality rate is reached within 3-4 days. After being absorbed by crops, emamectin benzoate can remain in the plant body for a long time without losing its effectiveness. After being fed by pests, a second insecticidal peak appears after 10 days. Therefore, emamectin benzoate has a long lasting effect.

Insecticidal mechanism of Lambda-Cyhalothrin

Lambda-Cyhalothrin is a pyrethroid insecticide with contact and stomach poisoning effects. After pests come into contact with the agent, it combines with the sodium ions in the pests' bodies to destroy the pests' nervous system, making them unable to feed and eventually leading to death. It has the characteristics of good rapidity, fast knockdown speed, wide range of pest control, and low price.

Main features of Lambda-Cyhalothrin + emamectin benzoate

(1) Good rapidity: The synergistic effect after compounding is very significant, which can quickly knock down pests. Some single doses take 3 to 4 days to kill pests, but after compounding, pests can be killed on the same day.

(2) A wider insecticide spectrum: Emamectin benzoate is mainly used to control Lepidoptera and Diptera pests, such as red-banded leaf roller, tobacco aphid armyworm, cotton bollworm, tobacco hornworm, diamondback moth, armyworm, beet armyworm, fall armyworm, cabbage armyworm, cabbage moth, cabbage heart borer, cabbage stripe borer, tomato hornworm, potato beetle, Mexican ladybug and other pests. After compounding, it can also control aphids, blind bugs, pear psyllids, scale insects and other pests. It is particularly effective against the striped stem borer, yellow stem borer, stem borer, heartworm, diamondback moth, beet armyworm, tobacco budworm, aphids and other pests.

(3) Low price: Emamectin benzoate is expensive. When used as a single dose, the dosage will increase gradually due to the increasing resistance of pests, and the cost is also high. After adding lambda-cyhalothrin, the dosage does not need to be increased, and the control effect will be significantly improved, which can greatly reduce the cost.

(4) Long lasting effect: After the combination of emamectin benzoate and lambda-cyhalothrin, not only the rapid effect is improved, the secondary insecticide characteristics will be better, and the lasting effect will be longer.

Applicable crops

After the two are combined, they are safe and can be widely used in cabbage, kale, cauliflower, radish, tomato, pepper, cucumber, apple, pear tree, pomegranate, guava, star fruit, lychee, longan, Chinese medicinal materials, flowers, etc.

Usage

(1) To control cabbage, kale, cauliflower, tomato, pepper and other vegetables such as cabbage worm, beet armyworm, cutworm, diamondback moth and other pests, 4.5% lambda-cyhalothrin EC 1000-1500 times diluted + 1% emamectin benzoate EC 2000-2500 times diluted can be used for uniform spraying.

(2) To control fruit borers, aphids and other pests on apple, pear, peach and other fruit trees, 4.5% lambda-cyhalothrin EC 1500 times diluted + 1% emamectin benzoate EC 2000 times diluted can be used for uniform spraying on the whole plant.

Instructions: Emamectin benzoate has good compatibility and can be combined with a variety of pesticides such as cypermethrin, hexaflumuron, indoxacarb, methoxyfenozide, and flumuron to achieve good synergistic effects. When controlling pests, they can be used alternately for better control effects.
