How to use Paenibacillus polymyxa?

Soil-borne diseases such as wilt, bacterial wilt, and verticillium wilt are the most difficult plant diseases to prevent and control. They are called "cancer". Every year, many crops suffer from these diseases, resulting in serious yield reductions, which is a headache for farmers. Today, I will introduce you to an excellent fungicide that specifically prevents and controls these diseases, making it no longer difficult to prevent and control wilt, bacterial wilt, and verticillium wilt. This drug is Paenibacillus polymyxa.

Paenibacillus polymyxa

Paenibacillus polymyxa is a type of spore-producing bacteria that is a Gram-positive bacterium belonging to the genus Paenibacillus. It is a type of biocontrol bacteria that is not pathogenic to plants but has great potential for preventing and controlling plant diseases and promoting crop growth. It is also not pathogenic to humans and animals. It is a non-toxic, non-polluting, and non-residue microbial fungicide. It has been listed as a first-level strain exempted from safety identification by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Sterilization mechanism

The disease prevention mechanism of Bacillus polymyxa is "using bacteria to treat bacteria". Bacillus polymyxa has a strong colonization ability in the roots, stems, leaves and other parts of crops. After application, it can reproduce rapidly around the roots of crops in large quantities, and prevent other pathogens from approaching and infecting the root system of plants through site competition. At the same time, Bacillus polymyxa can continuously secrete broad-spectrum antibacterial substances to inhibit and kill pathogens; in addition, Bacillus polymyxa can also induce plants to produce disease resistance. Thus, the purpose of completely preventing and controlling various soil-borne diseases is achieved.

Main features

(1) Broad bactericidal spectrum: Bacillus polymyxa can prevent and control a variety of fungal and bacterial diseases such as wilt, bacterial wilt, verticillium wilt, damping-off, root rot, soft rot, etc., especially for tomato, pepper, eggplant, watermelon wilt and bacterial wilt.

(2) Non-toxic, non-polluting, and non-residue: Paenibacillus polymyxa is a biocontrol bacterium, which is mainly produced by fermentation of highly active strains. It has no toxic side effects on the environment, soil, crops, humans, animals, and plants, and only kills pathogens.

(3) Fast reproduction: Paenibacillus polymyxa reproduces very quickly in the root system of crops under suitable temperature and humidity conditions, which is dozens of times faster than other pathogens, and can quickly form dominant strains around the root system of crops.

(4) Safe and non-toxic: Paenibacillus polymyxa is a microbial strain that is absolutely safe for crops no matter how high the concentration is used, and will not cause any phytotoxicity.

Applicable crops

Paenibacillus polymyxa can be used for cucumbers, watermelons, melons, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, wheat, rice, corn, fruit trees, etc.

Control targets

Mainly control wilt, bacterial wilt, root rot, sheath blight, verticillium wilt, clubroot, anthracnose, take-all disease, soft rot, etc.

Usage

(1) Seed dressing: Before sowing wheat, corn, rice, peanuts, soybeans and other crops, you can use 50 times the liquid of 500 million CFU/g Paenibacillus polymyxa suspension to mix the seeds, dry them in a cool place, and then sow them. It can effectively prevent and control the occurrence of soil-borne diseases such as damping-off, root rot, and sheath blight.

(2) Seed soaking: Before raising seedlings of watermelon, cucumber, tomato, pepper, eggplant, cotton, garlic and other crops, you can use 100 times the liquid of 1 billion CFU/g Paenibacillus polymyxa wettable powder to soak the seeds for 30 minutes. After taking them out, dry them in a cool place and sow them. Then pour the liquid on the seedbed. It can effectively prevent and control the occurrence of diseases such as damping-off, damping-off, and root rot in the seedling stage.

(2) Root dipping: When transplanting crops such as cucumbers, watermelons, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and green onions, dip the roots with 50 times the dilution of 1 billion CFU/g Paenibacillus polymyxa wettable powder before planting, and then water to prevent the occurrence of diseases such as damping-off, root rot, wilt, bacterial wilt, and verticillium wilt.

(3) Root irrigation: Before the occurrence of wilt, bacterial wilt, and verticillium wilt in crops such as cucumbers, watermelons, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and melons, use 500-700 g/mu of 1 billion CFU/g Paenibacillus polymyxa wettable powder, add water, and irrigate the roots. Irrigate the roots 2-3 times per season, which can basically completely control the occurrence of bacterial wilt, wilt, and verticillium wilt.

(4) Spraying: To prevent and control diseases such as anthracnose, angular leaf spot, wilt, and bacterial wilt, you can also spray 200-300 times the amount of 1 billion CFU/g of Bacillus polymyxa wettable powder before or in the early stages of the disease to control the continued spread of the above diseases.
