Fluazinam chemical name is 3-chloro-N-(3-chloro-5-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridyl)-α,α,α-trifluoro-2,6-dinitro- p-Toluidine, whose structural formula is shown in Figure 1, is a very good uncoupling fungicide among the dinitroaniline compounds launched by Japan Ishihara Co., Ltd. in 1988, and also has certain acaricidal activity. There is no systemic conductivity and therapeutic effect, but its resistance to rainwater erosion is very good, and the lasting effect is long.

1 Mechanism of action
By acting on multiple specific sites of ATP synthase, fluazinam removes the association between oxidation and phosphorylation at the end of the respiratory chain, consumes the electrochemical potential energy accumulated by electron transfer to the greatest extent, and blocks the energy of bacteria (ATP). form, causing the bacteria to die.
2 Applications
Fluazinam can not only be used as a fungicide (mainly used to control diseases such as potato late blight, pepper blight, cabbage clubroot, etc.), but also has a certain effect of killing mites. Fluazidamide has performed well in the market of potato late blight, pepper blight and cruciferous clubroot. In recent years, more and more domestic companies have paid attention to its potential in the citrus red spider market. Fluazinam has control effect on adults and eggs of red spider mites, with strong contact effect and low resistance.
Fluazinam can be applied as a foliar spray or as a soil treatment. Fluazinam has very good soil stability and can maintain a high activity after being applied to the soil. Therefore, in addition to being used to control various leaf diseases, fluazinam also has a very good control effect on various soil-borne root rots.

3 Product Features
(1) It has a wide bactericidal spectrum and has good effects on higher fungi and lower fungi, and can effectively control blight, botrytis, anthracnose, clubroot, damping off and scab and scab on fruit trees. and other diseases. Among them, it has special effects on blight, clubroot and botrytis, but has weak activity on powdery mildew and rust.
(2) The mechanism of action is unique, the risk of resistance is extremely low, and it has a good control effect on bacteria that produce drug resistance.
(3) High ecological security, low risk to natural enemies, little impact by climate, safe to humans, animals, natural enemies and the environment, and is an environmentally friendly agent.

4 Domestic registration
In 2003, Ishihara, Japan obtained provisional registration, and in 2008, it was transferred to formal registration (94.5% technical drug and 500 g/L suspending agent). According to the inquiry of China Pesticide Information Network, as of November 19, 2021, the number of fluazinam products officially registered in my country was 116, and a total of 18 new products were approved for registration in 2021, mainly suspending agents. The registered control objects are mainly potato late blight, pepper blight, Chinese cabbage clubroot, citrus red spider, followed by citrus resin disease (sand skin disease), anthracnose, pepper anthracnose, tomato late blight and other common pests.
Fluazinam has 19 technical registrations in China, 11 with 98% content, 6 with 97% content, and 1 with 94.5% content; there are 58 single-dose registrations in China, and the main dosage form is 500 g/L fluazinam suspending agent. Mainly; there are 39 registrations of compound preparations in China, mainly with dimethomorph, cyfamidazole, azoxystrobin, in addition to abamectin, isobacturon, and peramuron , propamocarb hydrochloride, metalaxyl, oxazoxazone, pyraclostrobin, etc., but relatively few, among which abamectin is a hot spot of concern in recent years.
5 Market Overview
5.1 Global Overview
From the perspective of regional distribution, the sales area of fluazinam is mainly Latin America, followed by Asia and Europe. In 2019, Latin America accounted for 39.9% of the global share, Asia was 24.4%, and Europe was 23.6%; followed by North America, the Middle East and Africa.
