Imidacloprid has a unique mechanism of action. After entering the insect's body, it interferes with the insect's nervous system, paralyzing and blocking the central nervous system, leading to rapid death. It has good rapid-acting properties and a long-lasting effect. It has good control effects on rice planthoppers and wheat aphids.
Imidacloprid should be used a maximum of twice per season on rice, with a safety interval of 14 days; and a maximum of twice per season on wheat, with a safety interval of 20 days. Apply during the peak occurrence of 2nd-3rd instar nymphs of rice planthoppers. Apply during the initial peak occurrence of wheat aphids. Do not apply on windy days or if rain is expected within one hour.
