Spirotetramat has a good killing effect on small insects such as white whiteflies, thrips, aphids, scale insects, pear psyllids, mealworms, and stink bugs. It is currently the only insecticide with (bidirectional transmission) internal absorption and up and down transmission effects. After application, the pesticide can be absorbed and transmitted to various parts of the plant body through the leaves and phloem, effectively protecting new leaves and flowers. The main insecticidal method is mainly gastric toxicity, supplemented by touch killing, and has a long shelf life.

Spirotetramat was first developed by Bayer AG in Germany and has unique bidirectional internal absorption conductivity. The dosage form is a suspension. Spirotetramat is effective against adults, larvae, nymphs, and eggs. Firstly, it is absorbed by leaves and then transmitted to various parts of the plant, such as roots, stems, and leaves. Through the ingestion of pests, the pesticide is introduced into the insect body to kill the pests. Even if adults come into contact with the pesticide and lay eggs, the eggs cannot hatch normally.

Common spirotetramat formulations include single and compound formulations. It is recommended to use a combination of Abamectin and spirotetramat (4% Abamectin+24% Spirotetramat).
The effectiveness of Avispirotetramat in killing white planthoppers, thrips, and aphids is absolutely not a problem. The effect is significant and has a long lasting effect. In the current economic crop area, due to continuous use of drugs and severe overdose, resistance outbreaks of thrips, white planthoppers, and aphids occur. The common phenomenon is that farmers cannot kill pests, so they continuously increase the dosage of drugs, which further stimulates the resistance of pests to drugs. Avispirotetramat is a good choice in the absence of specific drugs.
However, some growers have reported that the effect of using spirotetramat is not very obvious. Here, we have to mention the methods and techniques of using spirotetramat. At the beginning of the article, we introduced that spirotetramat's main insecticidal method is gastric toxicity, as it has excellent bidirectional internal absorption and conduction effect. Therefore, the amount of absorption of the drug is the fundamental factor determining the insecticidal effect. For example, citrus leaves have a thick wax layer, and it is difficult to retain the drug when it falls on the leaves, resulting in insufficient absorption of the drug and not achieving good insecticidal effects.
Medication techniques:
In order to promote the absorption of the medicine, the editor demonstrated a very good combination in the experiment. Before applying the medicine, we can first add 10-15 milliliters of vegetable oil additives per 30-40 pounds of water, and then add Avispirotetramat. It should be noted that the vegetable oil additives are added to the medicine barrel and stirred evenly before adding the medicine. The medicine must be diluted twice. The diluted medicine needs to be added to the already stirred vegetable oil additive medicine barrel and stirred evenly again.
After the above steps are completed, the pesticide can be applied. After the first application, the second application should be carried out 5-7 days on heavily infested areas, with a maximum effective period of about 30 days.
Special reminder:
At present, some regions have developed varying degrees of resistance to spirotetramat. It is recommended to choose compound pesticides or rotate with other types of insecticides to significantly slow down the occurrence of resistance. It is best to use spirotetramat before pest outbreaks, as it can effectively reduce the number of pest infestations, reduce the harm of pests to crops, and reduce economic losses.
