The characteristics and applications of tebuconazole!

Chemical pesticides are the quickest and most effective method for disease prevention and control. With the extensive efforts of researchers from multiple countries, many effective drugs for disease prevention and control have been introduced to the market, effectively controlling the harm of diseases and making great contributions to achieving high yields and harvests. However, due to improper use of pesticides, pesticide damage occurs every year, resulting in huge economic losses and even crop failures. Today, let me give you a correct way to use excellent fungicides.

tebuconazole

1. Mechanism of action

This drug is tebuconazole, a broad-spectrum and highly effective triazole fungicide. It mainly inhibits the demethylation of ergosterol on the cell membrane of pathogenic fungi, preventing the growth of fungal hyphae and the formation of conidia, achieving the effect of killing bacteria. This drug has good internal absorption and can be quickly absorbed by the growing parts of plants and transferred to the top.

It has a protective, therapeutic, and eradication effect on various diseases, mainly used to prevent and control various fungal diseases on crops such as wheat, rice, peanuts, vegetables, bananas, apples, pears, and corn and sorghum. However, tebuconazole can also have certain effects on the growth and division of plant cells, thereby inhibiting plant growth. If the dosage is too large and sprayed multiple times for a long time, it may cause pesticide damage and have a strong inhibitory effect on plant growth and development, greatly reducing the growth rate of the plant.

2. Main features

(1) Broad spectrum of sterilization: Tebuconazole can be widely used for the prevention and control of dozens of diseases, including Fusarium oxysporum, anthracnose, sheath blight, total rot, root rot, stem blight, black spot, brown spot, sclerotinia, Fusarium head blight, smut, powdery mildew, stripe rust, leaf rust, large spot, small spot, gray mold, etc.

(2) Good internal absorption: Tebuconazole has good internal absorption and can be absorbed by roots, stems, and leaves after application and transmitted to any part of the plant.

(3) Long duration: tebuconazole can be used for both spray and seed treatment because of its good internal absorption. After being absorbed by crops, tebuconazole can remain in plants for a long time to achieve the effect of continuous killing bacteria. The duration of foliar spraying is 15 to 20 days, seed dressing agent is used for seed mixing, and the duration can be more than 80 days, and soil treatment can be more than 100 days.

(4) Regulating crop growth: Tebuconazole belongs to the triazole class of fungicides and has a certain inhibitory effect on the division, growth, and elongation of plant cells. When used at recommended doses, it can control the nutritional growth of plants, promote reproductive growth, promote nutrient transport into fruits, increase the solid content of sugars, proteins, and other substances in fruits, increase grain fullness, increase thousand grain weight, and improve fruit quality.

(5) Protective and therapeutic effects with eradication: Tebuconazole has a more thorough effect on disease prevention and treatment by inhibiting the growth of fungal hyphae and the formation of conidia by inhibiting ergosterol on the intracellular membrane of bacteria.

(6) Good mixing ability: Tebuconazole can be mixed with dozens of pesticides such as prochloraz, feniconazole, zinc propionate, fipronil, and azoxystrobin, with a very prominent synergistic effect. It not only expands the bactericidal spectrum, prevents bacterial resistance, but also has a more prominent killing effect on diseases.

3. The inhibitory effect of tebuconazole on crops

Tebuconazole is a triazole fungicide that has inhibitory effects on plant cell division and elongation, but its safety is poor. Especially during the seedling stage, the inhibitory effect is more pronounced. Tebuconazole suspension seed coating agent can cause seeds to fail to germinate if the recommended dosage is exceeded. In the seedling stage, excessive use can cause complete cessation of seedling growth, with particularly significant side effects.

4. Usage

(1) Seed mixing: To prevent and control underground diseases such as sheath blight, stem rot, and total rot of crops such as wheat, corn, and rice, a 10% suspension seed coating agent of fenpropanol can be used to mix seeds in a ratio of 200-300 milliliters/100 kilograms, which can effectively prevent and control the occurrence and harm of various underground diseases. 32% pentazole · imidacloprid suspension seed coating agent can also be used to mix seeds in a ratio of 300-500 milliliters/100 kilograms. It can effectively prevent and control various diseases, as well as pests such as aphids and planthoppers, with a shelf life of up to 80-100 days.

(2) Soil treatment: Before or during wheat sowing, use 3-4 kilograms of 2% benzothiazole slow-release granules per acre, mix them evenly with organic fertilizer or fine soil, and then apply them in holes to effectively prevent and control the harm of underground diseases and pests.

(3) Root irrigation: When planting crops such as tomatoes, chili peppers, and eggplants, a 32% imidacloprid suspension seed coating agent diluted by 1000-1500 times can be used for root irrigation, followed by soil covering, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of underground diseases and pests such as root rot, wilt disease, and white grubs.

(4) Spray: to control wheat, corn, rice and other crops powdery mildew, rust, head smut, scab, corn leaf spot and other diseases, use 3000~4000 times of 43% tebuconazole suspension or 2500~3000 times of 40% oxime bacteria tebuconazole suspension.

5. Precautions

To improve the preventive and therapeutic effects of tebuconazole and reduce the risk of drug damage, the following points should be noted when using it:

(1) Try not to use it during the seedling stage and early stage of plant fruiting.

(2) Try to mix it with other drugs as much as possible. Mixing tebuconazole with other drugs can greatly reduce the inhibitory effect of tebuconazole on growth.

(3) According to the recommended dosage, tebuconazole has high activity and can achieve good prevention and treatment effects at very low concentrations. Do not increase the concentration arbitrarily when using.
