The main common diseases in the growth process of raspberries are stem rot, willow bat moth and raspberry perforating moth. The main pests are: willow bat moth and raspberry perforating moth.

1. Stem rot
(1) Symptoms:
The damage to raspberry basal branches usually occurs on new shoots. First, a dark gray scalded lesion appears from the sunny side of the new shoot closer to the ground, about 1.5-2.5 cm long and 0.6-1.2 cm wide. Rapid expansion to the surrounding, the disease gradually brown, the surface of the lesions appeared black spots of different sizes, and the xylem became brown and necrotic. With the expansion of the diseased part, the leaves and petioles turn yellow and wither, and finally the whole plant dies. The high temperature and rainy season is the peak period of the disease, which is most common in our region from June to August.
(2)Prevention methods
①Clear the garden in autumn, cut off diseased branches and burn them.
② Spray 500 times of thiophanate-methyl, or 500 times of 40% ethylphosphine, or 500 times of Fumeishuang at the beginning of the onset from May to July.
③Choose disease-resistant varieties. Relatively speaking, black raspberries are more disease-resistant than red raspberries, and are more suitable for cultivation in southern regions.
2. Willow bat moth
(1)Symptoms:
It is the main pest that harms raspberries and seriously affects the second year's yield. The larvae begin to bore into the new shoots in early July (from the end of May to June in some areas), and the borer entrance is 40-60 cm away from the ground, and most of them eat downward. Willow bat moths often come out to nibble on the outer phloem of the cavity, and most of them eat around for a week. The bitten sawdust and feces are glued together with silk, and the tree is connected in a circle, and it will not fall for a long time. The victim branches are easily broken and dry and die.
(2)Prevention methods
① Cut off the damaged branches and burn them before the adults emerge.
② During the active period of the first instar larvae from mid-May to early August, 2.5% deltamethrin 2000-3000 times solution can be sprayed, which can achieve better control effect.

3. Raspberry Piercing Moth
(1) Symptoms:
Red raspberries are more harmful to red raspberries. In autumn, they cocoon and overwinter at the base of the basal branch. During the leaf-expansion period, they climb up the new shoots, bore into the shoots, and after eating the tender shoots, they drill into the new shoots, causing the new shoots to die. After the adults emerge, they lay eggs in the flower in the evening, and the larvae initially eat the berries, and soon transfer to the base for overwintering.
(2)Prevention methods
①Clear the garden after picking fruits in late autumn.
② Spray 80% dichlorvos 1000 times solution or 2.5% deltamethrin 3000 times solution in early spring to kill larvae.
