What are the effects of acetamiprid?

Basic information

Main dosage forms: 5% WP, 5% EC, 70% WDG, 20% SL, 10% microemulsion.

Action characteristics

Acetamiprid is a new type of insecticide, a nitromethylene heterocyclic compound, which acts on the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at the synaptic site of the insect nervous system, interferes with the stimulation conduction of the insect nervous system, causes blockage of the nervous system pathway, and causes the accumulation of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine at the synaptic site, thereby causing insect paralysis and eventual death.

It has contact and stomach poisoning effects, and has strong penetration, good rapidity, and long lasting effect.

Control objects

Used to control aphids, planthoppers, thrips and lepidoptera pests in rice, vegetables, fruit trees, and tea trees. Using granules for soil treatment can control underground pests.

Usage

(1) At a concentration of 50~100mg/L, it can effectively control cotton aphids, vegetable aphids, peach borer, etc., and can kill eggs.

(2) To control cucumber aphids, apply the pesticide at the beginning of the aphid outbreak. Use 40-50mL of 3% acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate per mu, add 50~60kg of water and spray evenly. It has a good control effect on melon aphids. In rainy years, the efficacy can still last for more than 15 days.

(3) To control apple aphids, apply the pesticide during the growth period of new shoots of apple trees and the beginning of the aphid outbreak. Spray with 2000~2500 times diluted emulsifiable concentrate. It has a good quick effect on aphids, is resistant to rain erosion, and has a lasting effect of more than 20 days.

(4) To control citrus aphids, spray during the aphid outbreak period. Use 2000~2500 times diluted emulsion for spraying. It has excellent control effect and long-lasting effect on citrus aphids. It is safe for citrus and has no pesticide damage at normal dosage.

Precautions

(1) It is toxic to silkworms. If there is a mulberry garden nearby, do not spray it on mulberry leaves.

(2) Acetamiprid should not be mixed with strong alkaline agents (Bordeaux mixture, lime sulfur, etc.).

(3) Acetamiprid has low toxicity to humans and animals, but if it is accidentally ingested, send to the hospital immediately for gastric lavage and keep quiet.
