The powerful effect of paclobutrazol
Paclobutrazol is a triazole plant growth regulator that mainly inhibits the biosynthesis of gibberellins in plants, slows down plant growth, controls the elongation of crop stems, shortens crop internodes, promotes plant tillering, promotes plant flower bud differentiation, increases plant stress resistance, and increases yield.
1. Changing the level of endogenous hormones
Paclobutrazol can inhibit gibberellins synthesis, delay growth, shorten internodes, and dwarf plants. It reduces the synthesis or metabolism of indoleacetic acid, increases the endogenous abscisic acid content of plants, and can also regulate the release of ethylene in plants.
2. Increase the content of chlorophyll, nucleic acid and protein
Paclobutrazol can make plant leaves dark green, increase the content of photosynthetic pigments such as chlorophyll, increase the content of nucleic acid and protein in the plant, improve the anti-aging ability of plants, and make plants have vigorous vitality.
3. Improve the stress resistance of plants
Paclobutrazol can improve the ability of plants to resist adversity and pathogens. It can make the epidermal cells of plants swell, causing the stomata to be squeezed and sunken, causing the stomatal resistance to increase, transpiration to decrease, and water loss to decrease.
By alleviating water loss, the stress on plant cells is reduced, normal growth and development can be carried out, and the plant's own drought resistance is enhanced.
The application of paclobutrazol can improve the plant's ability to resist cold and frost damage. After the application of paclobutrazol, the content of the stress hormone abscisic acid in the plant body is increased, and the damage to the leaf cell membrane caused by low temperature is reduced.

5. Bactericidal effect
Paclobutrazol was first developed as a fungicide. It has inhibitory activity against more than 10 pathogens such as rapeseed sclerotinia, wheat powdery mildew, rice sheath blight and apple anthracnose. It has a broad spectrum of antibacterial properties and can also control weeds, dwarf weeds, slow down growth, and reduce harm.
6. Application on fruit trees

Precautions for use
1. When spraying paclobutrazol, focus on spraying the stems of the plants, followed by the leaves. At the same time, control the degree of spraying wetness. It is not advisable to use excessive liquid and drip into the soil, which will cause excessive inhibition of plant growth.
2. Paclobutrazol has a long residual time in the soil and moves very slowly in the soil. The applied fields must be plowed after harvest. Reduce the impact on the growth of subsequent crops.
3. The concentration and dosage of paclobutrazol are related to the temperature during treatment. When the temperature is high, the concentration of paclobutrazol is slightly higher and the dosage is slightly more; when the temperature is low, the concentration of paclobutrazol is also low and the dosage is reduced. This is the opposite of the general use of growth hormones.
4. Although the dosage of paclobutrazol is low, the efficacy period is long, so it is not suitable for continuous use on fruit trees. And pay attention to the timing of use to avoid endogenous hormone disorders in fruit trees.
5. When mild paclobutrazol damage occurs, gibberellin + brassinolide can be sprayed on the leaves to promote the plant to resume normal growth.
