Which is more effective, imidacloprid or acetamiprid? What are the differences?

info-800-800

Difference 1: There is a significant difference in the speed of insecticidal action. Acetamiprid is a contact insecticide, effective against low-resistance aphids and planthoppers, with rapid kills. Imidacloprid is slower, typically reaching peak mortality within 24 to 48 hours.

Difference 2: There is a significant difference in the duration of action. Acetamiprid has a shorter duration of action, with secondary outbreaks occurring around 5 days after peak infestation, while imidacloprid has a longer duration of action, around 10 days.

Difference 3: Temperature sensitivity differs. Imidacloprid is less affected by temperature, while acetamiprid is significantly affected; the higher the temperature, the better the effect of acetamiprid.

Difference 4: Their modes of action differ. Imidacloprid's systemic insecticidal effect far surpasses that of acetamiprid, which primarily kills insects through contact. Therefore, in terms of insecticidal speed, acetamiprid is faster than imidacloprid.
