Once planted, the active ingredient is absorbed by the germinating seed and moves upward through the developing plant, protecting roots, stems, and leaves. For wheat, it suppresses bird cherry-oat aphid and barley yellow dwarf virus. For corn, it controls corn leaf aphid, flea beetles, and suppresses wireworms. One treatment at planting eliminates the need for early-season foliar sprays, saving labor and reducing crop damage.
