Imidacloprid is a highly effective and broad-spectrum neonicotinoid insecticide. It features stomach poisoning, contact toxicity, strong systemic activity and excellent translocation performance with long lasting effect, delivering outstanding control efficacy especially against piercing-sucking pests.

Apart from foliar spraying, imidacloprid is also applicable to soil treatment, root irrigation and seed dressing. Its control effect is 3 to 5 times higher than that of conventional spraying, with a lasting period of 50 to 90 days.

1. Soil Treatment

The active ingredient releases slowly in soil solution, effectively suppressing underground pests like grubs, mole crickets, wireworms and cutworms. Absorbed continuously by crop roots and delivered to upper plant parts, it also well prevents damages from aphids, thrips, whiteflies, planthoppers and leafhoppers, with efficacy lasting over 80-90 days, lowering spraying frequency, labor input and environmental pollution.

2. Seed Dressing

Prior to sowing wheat, corn, peanut, soybean, garlic, potato and other crops, use 60% imidacloprid suspension seed coating agent at the seed-to-pesticide ratio of 1:150~200, air-dry the seeds before sowing.
The agent evenly coats seed surfaces to protect seeds and seedlings from underground pests. It gradually releases into surrounding soil to shield young seedlings, and exerts systemic action to kill above-ground pests such as aphids, thrips, planthoppers, whiteflies and leafhoppers, maintaining efficacy for 50-60 days and reducing spray times effectively.

3. Root Irrigation or Root Dipping

For transplanted vegetables including cucumber, watermelon, muskmelon, tomato, eggplant and pepper, irrigate or soak roots with 1000-1500 times diluted 60% imidacloprid suspension seed coating agent during seedling raising or field planting along with watering.
The liquid fully covers rhizosphere soil to kill underground pests such as grubs, cutworms and wireworms. Via internal translocation, it restrains infestation of above-ground pests, blocks virus transmission and prevents viral diseases, with valid period reaching 30-50 days.
