Different application schemes exist for different types of pests. Below are some optimal pyriproxyfen formulations for your reference:

1. Thiamethoxam + Pyriproxyfen: This formulation can be used to control most resistant aphids, thrips, and planthoppers, and is suitable for early-stage pest control. Thiamethoxam has excellent systemic stomach poison efficacy; when combined with pyriproxyfen, it provides double kill of insect eggs and a long-lasting effect. Generally, a mixture of 10g of 70% thiamethoxam and 10ml of 10% pyriproxyfen is diluted in 30-40 catties of water for spraying.

2. Chlorfenapyr/Indoxacarb + Pyriproxyfen: This formula is highly effective against lepidopteran pests such as cabbage caterpillars. A general recommendation is to dilute 30ml of 40% chlorfenapyr/pyriproxyfen in 30 catties of water for spraying.

3. Chlorpyrifos/Acetamiprid + Pyriproxyfen: This formula is highly effective against scale insects. Dilute 20g of 48% chlorpyrifos + 10ml of 10% pyriproxyfen in 30-40 catties of water for spraying. Scale insects will dry out and fall off in 5-7 days.

4. Dinotefuran + Pyriproxyfen: This formula is highly effective against whiteflies. It has a good effect of removing whiteflies after initial application. If whiteflies are difficult to control, consider diluting 30ml of 30% dinotefuran/pyriproxyfen in 30-40 catties of water for spraying. During peak whitefly infestation periods, spray twice with a three-day interval. Pyriproxyfen breaks the overlapping generations of whiteflies, resulting in a longer-lasting effect.

5. Thiamethoxam + pyriproxyfen drenching for insect control: This formula is recommended for growers to control root maggots and prevent early-stage thrips, planthoppers, and underground pests. Thiamethoxam has a long half-life and long-lasting effect in the soil, specifically killing adult insects, while pyriproxyfen kills eggs. The combination of the two can completely eliminate insects hiding in the topsoil or underground pests. A general recommendation is to apply 500g of 30% thiamethoxam + 200ml of 40% pyriproxyfen per acre.
