Albaugh Europe Sarl, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, recently announced the acquisition of Industrias Afrasa, based in Valencia, Spain.
Afrasa was founded by Aurelio Fernández in Valencia, Spain in 1955 and opened a formulation factory in Paterna, near Valencia, in 1974. Javier Fernández took over the company in 1987, making Afrasa one of the leading crop protection companies in Spain. Now under the third generation of Arantxa Fernández, Afrasa has expanded its business to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, with more than 350 products registered in 28 countries and more than 12 active ingredients registered in Europe.
