Recently, Bayer promoted the fungicide Luna® Experience in Australia, which contains the active ingredients fluopyrac and tebuconazole, aiming to meet the challenges of local melon and other melon growers in the management of key fungal diseases such as vine blight and powdery mildew.
Luna® Experience's dual mode of action provides melon growers with a new disease management tool. Especially in the control of vine blight, the introduction of this product is regarded as a major breakthrough in the industry, because there is a relative lack of chemicals on the market that can effectively control this disease.
In field trials during the 2023 winter growing season, Luna® Experience demonstrated significantly better results than traditional chemicals in controlling vine blight and powdery mildew. This fungicide is applied during the late germination and early flowering stages of crops to provide excellent residual control and help maintain healthy crop growth.
In addition, Luna® Experience's preventive application strategy, applying before disease develops, ensures growers have a head start in disease management. This early intervention approach is critical to maintaining crop health and increasing productivity. Luna® Experience also has excellent crop safety and tank-mixing capabilities, and is compatible with other fungicides and insecticides used on the farm, providing excellent results and providing strong protection for crop health.
