Recently, Syngenta launched a new fungicide Evagio Forte in the UK to help prevent and control crop diseases in the 2024 planting season. This product combines the CAA active ingredients diclostrobin and sulfasalopyramide into an optimized formula, integrating disease prevention and resistance management, and is regarded as a powerful solution to achieve sustainable pest management.
Evagio Forte integrates two major types of active ingredients with different mechanisms of action, which can play a synergistic effect, while ensuring the overall efficacy of disease prevention and control, and adding new power to resistance management strategies. Evagio Forte's optimized formula helps reduce the overall active load compared to when using the active ingredient alone, while still achieving the same excellent level of disease control.
Evagio Forte is a preventive product that can be used by growers from the early stages of flowering until the peak of the crop before harvest. This product is not only highly active against disease spore germination, but also effectively inhibits the growth and reproduction of pathogens through rapid penetration, helping to maintain disease-free leaves and reducing the risk of crop diseases such as tuber blight.
In order to achieve optimal resistance management, farmers can reasonably determine the spraying time and interval by combining Syngenta's weather forecast system Blightcast and local pathogen occurrence conditions. In addition, when using Evagio Forte, you should also comply with FRAC specifications regarding the total number of uses of CAA, and use it alternately with other fungicide products with different mechanisms of action.
Syngenta urges growers to remain vigilant about pathogen resistance issues. Although no strains resistant to CAA active ingredients have been found in the UK, it is crucial to take preventive measures. Combination use and rotation of chemical modes of action are still key means of resistance management.
