Canada Approves Acaricides And Fungicides Containing Fenazaquin

 

Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently plans to approve the sale and use of Fenazaquin, the active ingredient of technical grade, as well as Magister SC acaricide/fungicide and Magus SC acaricide containing the above ingredients registration for the control of mites, psyllids, whiteflies and powdery mildew on various crops and ornamentals.

Fenazazafen is a traditional chemical acaricide, insecticide and fungicide. Its mechanism of action is to destroy the energy production in the cells of certain mites, insects and fungi. It can control various food crops and indoor and outdoor ornamental plants. Targets mites, insects and fungal pests. Magister SC acaricide/fungicide and Magus SC acaricide offer a new active ingredient and in most cases a new mode of action for the control of important pests of food and ornamental plants and powdery mildew of food crops . This will help manage resistance to registered pest control products.

 

Magister SC Mite Control/Fungicide controls certain mites including spider mites and powdery mildew on various terrestrial food crops, pear psyllid, spider mites on indoor and outdoor ornamentals, and sweet potato flour on indoor ornamentals louse. Magus SC Mite Control also controls certain spider mites on indoor and outdoor ornamentals and sweet potato whitefly on indoor ornamentals.
