Certis Biologicals has launched Convergence, a new biofungicide for the 2024 growing season. The product is registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to help plants fight soil-borne diseases caused by Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Fusarium and Phytophthora. In addition, the product provides an additional mechanism of action to control tough foliar diseases including tar spot, rust and leaf spot.
Convergence contains a carefully selected, natural strain of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens D747, which provides plant protection against disease and improves the balance of soil and plant health. According to the company, farmers can use Convergence to effectively manage resistance, control diseases and improve plant health. This solution does not affect beneficial insects, benefiting long-term biodiversity and sustainability. Convergence can be incorporated into existing conventional tillage programs via inter-ridge or foliar spraying. The product has no special storage requirements and can be tank-mixed with most synthetic products.
