According to Kynetec, UPL inputs are used on 49.8 million hectares of soybean crops in Brazil, accounting for 22 percent of the market, worth $2.4 billion (or R$11.5 billion).
UPL's crop protection products Perito 970 SG (acephate) and Sperto (acetamiprid + bifenthrin) were particularly successful in the Brazilian market, accounting for 11% and 8% of the market respectively. New products such as Feroce (acephate + bifenthrin) are also expected to gain popularity due to their effective control of soybean borer and soybean whitefly.
