Syngenta's First Three-in-one Biologics For Sugarcane!

Agrochemical.com Chinese website reported: Syngenta's new biological nematocide and fungicide CERTANO (containing Bacillus Velez CNPSo 3602) was recently unveiled at the Brazilian exhibition (the 19th Insectshow & Bioinsumos). The product is a concentrated suspension recommended for use as a seed treatment.

According to Syngenta, CERTANO has various mechanisms of action as a bionematicide and can be used at all stages of crops to effectively control nematodes in sugarcane fields. Renato Pirola, Crop Marketing Manager of Syngenta, pointed out: "We want to help growers increase yield and profit in a sustainable way. This product is the first "three-in-one" biological agent launched by Syngenta for sugarcane, which has nematodecidal, bactericidal and growth-promoting effects. The product has fast onset of action, long-lasting effect, and high efficacy consistency. It can be used in combination with other products to improve the yield and longevity of sugarcane."

In addition, Syngenta also launched several digital products at the exhibition to help growers fight soil pests and monitor moth pests. Its innovative technology has been incorporated into Cropwise, Syngenta's digital agriculture platform, which can be used to optimize the route and time for monitoring soil pests in the field and improve work efficiency. Farmers have had excellent results using drilled routes from last growing season, greatly reducing the number of monitoring routes required. The use of artificial intelligence to automatically calculate the number of moths in the trap ensures the reliability of the data and improves the efficiency of pest monitoring.

Larissa Vieira, Digital Sales and Account Manager at Syngenta, emphasized: "Crop managers need to process a large amount of data at the same time, so it is necessary to make intelligent, efficient and timely decisions. Our solutions provide more sensitive and reliable information, geo-referenced data, which can be obtained offline, so that information can be used quickly and securely."

On the first day of the exhibition, Pirola demonstrated the effect of CERTANO, which also benefited from Syngenta’s digital agriculture platform Cropwise, which strengthened the prevention and control of nematodes, reflecting the importance of digital technology and biological control to solve nematode hazards.
