Syngenta Launches Soybean Fungicide MIRAVIS Pro in Brazil (Flufenapyr + Prothioconazole)

Agrochemical.com Chinese website reported: Syngenta Crop Protection recently launched the fungicide MIRAVIS® Pro developed based on ADEPIDYN® technology. ADEPIDYN® is the basis of a new generation of fungicides with a broad spectrum of action and stronger control capabilities. In field trials, the new fungicide showed very good control of target spot disease, an increasingly common disease in soybean crops caused by the fungus Corynemycetes polybasicum, at the first application.

The excellent preventive effect of ADEPIDYN® combined with the therapeutic effect of prothioconazole can enhance the control of target spot disease in high-pressure environments. In addition, MIRAVIS® Pro is also outstanding in the control of DFC (end of growth disease), especially for the control of leaf blight and fusarium wilt. These two diseases are considered to be major problems for crops in Brazil's Cerrado region.

Pedro Altomar, Product Marketing Manager, Syngenta Crop Protection, said: "Brazil is one of the largest soybean producers in the world, and to maintain this position and increase productivity, effective disease management of soybean crops is essential. Syngenta is It is against this background that MIRAVIS® Pro was launched. This is an innovative product with strong control, long residual life and broad spectrum of action, which can increase the yield by more than 4.4 bags per hectare.”

It is recommended to apply MIRAVIS® Pro first as it provides excellent control of the main diseases affecting soybean crops during this period. Additionally, this new technology offers convenience to farmers as it is formulated with Empowered Control Technology, which increases product efficacy without the need for adjuvants or added solutions.

Target spot disease damages soybean crops frequently in the Cerrado region. MIRAVIS® Pro will increase the level of control, especially in high pressure situations. This is because it is an innovative molecule belonging to the N-methylpyrazole-carboxamide chemical group with a different molecular structure.

Altomar continued: "This is another product in a new generation of Syngenta fungicides that will improve disease control in soybean crops, protect the crop's productive potential and make farmers' lives easier. In our research, we screened more than 9,000 compounds, and finally developed ADEPIDYN®, a unique and innovative molecule, and applied it to MIRAVIS® Pro, a tool specially designed for the Cerrado region in Brazil.”

As the Brazilian soybean market continues to expand and most of the arable land in the Cerrado region is devoted to soybean cultivation, it is important to have a product that effectively controls the disease and meets the needs of soybean growers in the region.
