Products Applications

N6-(2-Isopentenyl)adenine (2iP) is a bacterially derived riboside cytokinin used for growth in plant tissues such as tobacco and soybean crusting. 2iP is a precursor to the chemically derived zeatin cytokinin. 2iP has been used in Schenk and Hildebrandt media to support in vitro propagation of shoot tips of broom plants grown in vitro.

 

 

Application Crops

N6-(2-Isopentenyl)adenine (2iP), also known as hydroxyene adenine or ene adenine, is a plant growth regulator produced by submerged fermentation of streptomycin. It can be used on crops such as rice, wheat, soybean, citrus, watermelon, and corn.

 

(1) Citrus. During the flowering period and the first physiological fruit drop, spray the branches and leaves evenly twice with 300-500 times the dilution. This has a significant effect on increasing the fruit setting rate of Wenzhou mandarin oranges, red chrysanthemums, navel oranges, blood oranges, and kumquats. During the fruit coloring and growth period (late July to late September), spray the stems, leaves, and fruits evenly with 600 times the dilution. This can make the fruit orange-red in appearance, increase the sugar content and solid content, and reduce the citric acid content.
