Ten major categories of insecticides - carbamate and acaricide insecticides

Carbamate insecticides

1. Isoprocarb: Strong contact killing effect, fast-acting. Mainly used to control rice leafhoppers, planthoppers, and thrips and other chewing mouthparts pests. It has a strong contact killing effect on leeches. Like other insecticides of this type, it cannot be used or mixed with the herbicide propanil, which is prone to phytotoxicity.

2. Methomyl: Systemic broad-spectrum insecticide with contact and stomach poisoning. It is very effective for aphids, thrips, armyworms, leaf rollers, weevils, leaf miners, codling moths, cotton bollworms, etc. in vegetables, fruit trees, cotton, tobacco, ornamental plants, etc.

Acaricide insecticides

1. Pyridaben: Rapid knockdown, lasting for 30-60 days, effective at all developmental stages of panonychus mites, spider mites and tassel mites. The Chai Da EC compounded with diesel has a significant synergistic effect.

2. Propargite: It is used to control spider mites on a variety of crops and has low toxicity to natural enemies such as insects and bees.

3. Hexythiazox: Hexythiazox is a non-systemic miticide that is effective against all stages of mites; it is fast-acting and long-lasting. It is used for the control of multiple types of crops such as fruit trees, cotton and citrus. It is used for constant spraying during the active period of mites.

4. Spirodiclofen: It has a brand-new mechanism of action, has a contact killing effect, and is not systemic. ① The active ingredient of Spirodiclofen is quaternary cypermethrin, and its mechanism of action is to inhibit fat synthesis in harmful mites. ② It has a good control effect on red spider mites, yellow spider mites, rust mites, tea yellow mites, cinnabar spider mites and two-spotted spider mites, and can be used for mite control of fruit trees such as citrus and grapes and Solanaceae crops such as eggplants, peppers, and tomatoes. In addition, spirodiclofen has a good control effect on pests such as pear psyllids, elm scale and leafhoppers. ③ Killing eggs and larvae: The killing effect is particularly excellent, and it also has a good contact killing effect on young mites. ④ Long lasting effect: Spirodiclofen has a long lasting effect, and can control the damage of citrus mites for 40-50 days in production. ⑤ Low toxicity, low residue, and good safety. ⑥ No mutual resistance: It can be mixed with most pesticides (except strong alkaline pesticides and copper preparations) for immediate use. Mixing with other miticides with different mechanisms of action can not only improve the rapid effect of spirodiclofen, but also help to control the resistance of mites.

5. Spiromesifen: The mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fat in the body of the mites. It has good activity against the larval stage, can close the ovarian tubes, and reduce the number of eggs laid. It is a dedicated miticide. It is the best variety of acaricide on the market; low toxicity, good safety, strong compatibility; long lasting effect, low residue; outstanding effect on herbivorous mites of all crops; this agent can be mixed with avermectin, but it is not recommended to be mixed with pyrethroid agents.

6. Diafenthiuron: Diafenthiuron is a new type of thiourea highly effective insecticide and acaricide, which has contact, stomach poison, systemic and fumigation effects, and has a certain egg-killing effect. It is effective against adult mites, young mites, nymphs and eggs, and can be used to control mites (tetranychus, rust mites), aphids, whiteflies, leafhoppers, various moth pests on fruit trees (citrus, apples), cotton, vegetables, tea and ornamental plants. It has high preventive effect, and has produced resistant diamondback moths, cabbage worms and leaf rollers.

7. Bifenazate: Bifenazate is a new type of selective foliar spray acaricide. Its mechanism of action is a unique effect on the aminobutyric acid receptors of the central nervous conduction system of mites. It is effective against all life stages of mites, has egg-killing activity and knockdown activity against adult mites (48-72h), and has a long duration. The duration of effect is about 14 days, and it is safe for crops within the recommended dosage range. It is used for apples and grapes to control apple red spider mites, two-spotted spider mites, and two-spotted spider mites on ornamental plants.

8. Propargite: Propargite is a broad-spectrum organic sulfur acaricide that has special effects on adult mites and nymphs. It can be used to control various mites in crops such as cotton, vegetables, apples, citrus, tea, and flowers, and is safe for most natural enemies. Propargite has a wide range of effects and can kill a variety of harmful mites. It can also kill harmful mites that have developed resistance to other insecticides. It has good effects on killing adult mites, nymphs, young mites, and mite eggs. It has been used in the world for more than 30 years, and there has been no problem of drug resistance so far.

9. Dicofol: A broad-spectrum miticide, effective against adult mites, young mites and eggs. Used to control a variety of harmful mites on cotton, fruit trees and flowers. It has good selectivity, does not harm natural enemies, and is safe for bees. It mainly kills harmful mites by contact, has a long residual effect, and has no systemic effect. However, it is easy to develop resistance after years of use.
