1. Mechanism of action

 

Boscalid mainly inhibits the synthesis of energy substance succinate dehydrogenase in the mitochondria of bacteria, preventing the synthesis of amino acids, sugars and other substances, interfering with cell division and growth, and achieving the purpose of killing bacteria. It has preventive, protective and therapeutic effects on gray mold, sclerotinia, powdery mildew and other diseases.

 

2. Main features

 

(1) Broad bactericidal spectrum: Boscalid is a broad-spectrum bactericide. It can effectively prevent and control more than 10 diseases such as gray mold, sclerotinia, powdery mildew, root rot, early blight, etc. It has good protective and therapeutic effects, especially for gray mold.

(2) No cross-resistance: boscalid is the latest generation of amide fungicides. It has no cross-resistance with traditional fungicides such as iprodione, procymidone, and pyrimethanil, and is the first choice agent for the treatment of resistant gray mold.

(3) Strong permeability: Boscalid has very good permeability and also has vertical penetration. It can penetrate into the back of the leaves through the leaf tissue to achieve the effect of treating diseases across leaves.

(4) Treat the disease more thoroughly: Boscalid kills bacteria mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of substances in the mitochondria of the bacteria, and has a good killing effect on all stages of the bacteria. Treatment is more thorough.

(5) Good systemic conductivity: boscalid can be transmitted upward through the xylem to the leaf tips and leaf edges of the plant, which can better prevent and control diseases occurring in various parts.
(6) Good mixability: Boscalid can be mixed with a variety of fungicides such as azoxystrobin, pyraclostrobin, procymidonide, and fludioxonil. It not only expands the bactericidal spectrum, but also reduces the resistance of bacteria.

 

3. Applicable crops

It is mainly used for the prevention and control of crop diseases such as rape, cucumber, tomato, pepper, eggplant, and grape.

 

4. Prevention and control objects

It mainly controls gray mold, powdery mildew, rot, root rot, early blight, sclerotinia and other diseases. It is especially effective against diseases such as tomato, cucumber, strawberry gray mold, rape, and eggplant sclerotinia.

 

5. Use technology

(1) To prevent and control gray mold on greenhouse vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, eggplants, etc., at the early stage of the disease, use 30 to 60 ml of 38% azoxyfen·boscalid suspension, mixed with 30 kg of water, and spray evenly. Quickly control the damage and spread of gray mold. The prevention effect can reach more than 98%.

(2) To prevent and control sclerotinia in crops such as eggplant and rapeseed, 50% boscalid water-dispersible granules 30-50 g/mu can be used, mixed with 30-40 liters of water, which can effectively prevent and control the continued harm of sclerotinia. It can reach more than 85%.
