This soluble liquid has low viscosity (similar to water), minimal foaming, and complete solubility, making it ideal for low-volume aerial application at 15-20 liters per hectare. The product stays suspended in the tank for the duration of a typical 10-15 minute drone flight, and the fine droplets produced by UAV nozzles provide excellent coverage of plant canopies. Drone applicators report consistent results across rice paddies, corn fields, and citrus orchards, with the added benefit of reduced operator exposure compared to backpack spraying. Products Applications
Rice (BPH control): 25-30 ml per mu in 1.5-2.0 liters of water per mu (15-20 L/ha). Fly at 3-4 meters altitude, 5-6 m/s forward speed.
Corn (aphid, leafhopper): 25-30 ml per mu in 2.0-2.5 liters of water per mu. Add a methylated seed oil adjuvant at 0.25% v/v.
Citrus (psyllid, leafminer): 2000-3000X dilution (25-30 ml per 100 L water) but apply via drone at 20-25 L/ha total volume. Use coarse droplets to avoid drift.
Cotton (jassid, thrips): 20-25 ml per mu in 1.5-2.0 liters of water per mu. Add a penetrant for hairy leaf surfaces.
Drone mixing protocol: Fill tank 50% with water, add SL, then top up to full volume. Agitate gently. Use within 30 minutes of mixing for best suspension.
Precautions
Drift management: Even with drones, avoid spraying when wind exceeds 10 km/h. Downwind buffers of 50m for bee habitats.
Nozzle selection: Use ceramic or stainless steel nozzles. Plastic nozzles may wear faster with repeated use.
Cleaning: Rinse drone tank and lines with clean water immediately after each mission. Do not leave product in the tank overnight.
Operator protection: Wear nitrile gloves when mixing concentrate. Drone pilots flying at safe distances typically do not require full PPE, but avoid contact with wet foliage.
Battery caution: Do not store mixed product in drones between flights – it can damage seals and cause leaks.
Regulatory note: Drone application regulations vary by country. Ensure you hold the required certifications and follow local low-volume application guidelines.
