What is Prohexadione Calcium?
Prohexadione Calcium is a novel plant growth regulator. It works by interfering with the synthesis of gibberellins (GA) within plants, thereby reducing GA levels. At the same time, it can increase the levels of ABA, zeatin, and isopentenyl adenine-type cytokinins. This results in the inhibition of above-ground vegetative growth, promotion of reproductive growth, leading to increased yield and improved quality.
