Recently, Indian pesticide company Best Agrolife Ltd (BAL) has made significant progress and launched innovative formulations in the field of rice herbicides and fungicides in India
In the field of rice herbicides, BAL has obtained a domestic production registration for the three-way combination formulation Orisulam, which is bispyribac 0.25% + penoxsulam 0.25% + pyrazosulfuron 0.20% GR. It belongs to the category of ALS (acetolactate synthase) inhibitors and can effectively block the synthesis of amino acids required for weed growth. It has excellent control effects on herbaceous, broad-leaved and sedge weeds. It is a broad-spectrum contact systemic herbicide for rice before, early and after emergence. Orisulam is used in the upcoming Kharif season and is in the form of granules, which is flexible and convenient to apply. It is estimated that the annual commercial potential of the rice herbicide sector in India is as high as 20 billion rupees (about 240 million US dollars), and BAL is expected to share a share with Orisulam.
In the field of fungicides, BAL has also obtained the registration of a combination formulation, Boscalid 25.2% + Pyraclostrobin 12.8% WG, which can effectively control downy mildew and powdery mildew on specialty crops such as grapes.
In addition to the above new products, BAL has recently obtained several patented formula products such as Defender, Tricolor, Warden Extra and Shot Down, and its product portfolio is becoming increasingly rich. It is worth mentioning that Defender is an innovative formulation for dealing with rice brown planthoppers, which is of breakthrough significance. In addition, the company has also registered 95% fomesafen technical.
