On November 21, 2023, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) No. 2023/2592 to extend the approval period for 28 active substances including acysulfuron-methyl. This regulation will take effect on the twentieth day from the date of issuance.
According to the regulations, the approval period for 8-hydroxyquinoline has been extended to December 31, 2024.
1. The approval period for Sulfur has been extended to April 15, 2025.
2. The approval deadlines for Amidosulfuron, Lenacil, Fenoxaprop-P and Paraffin oil have been extended to August 15, 2025.
3. The approval period for Diflufenican has been extended to January 15, 2026.
4. The approval period for Difenoconazole has been extended to March 15, 2026.
5. The approval period for Prohexadione, Spiroxamine, 1-naphthylacetamide, 1-naphthylacetic acid, Fluazifop P, Fenpyrazamine and Esfenvalerate has been extended to May 31, 2026.
6. The approval period for Dimethachlor and Penconazole has been extended to October 15, 2026.
7. The approval period for Nicosulfuron, Dicamba, Bifenox, Etofenprox, Tri-allate, Tetraconazole, Paraffin oils (CAS No. 64742-46-7; CAS No. 72623-86-0; CAS No. 97862-82-3) and napropamide has been extended to March 31, 2027.
8. The approval period for Fenpropidin has been extended to May 15, 2027.
9. The approval period for 2-phenylphenol (incl. its salts such as sodium salt) has been extended to November 15, 2027.
10. The approval period for Picloram has been extended to February 15, 2028.
