Recently, FMC launched a new insecticide, Amethyst, in Paraguay. This product is composed of two pyrethroid active ingredients (Z-cypermethrin + bifenthrin), which can effectively control various pests during the transplantation and colonization periods, reduce the population in the current season and prevent a large number of occurrences in the next season.
FMC Paraguay stated that Amethyst contains new active ingredients and can be used in rotation with other excellent solutions to expand the scope of prevention and treatment. The insecticide Amethyst works faster and can be applied at a more ideal time compared to mixed products that are often restricted to the transplantation period. The product will be promoted through a strategic partnership with distributor Casa do Agricultor.
It also stated that in the next five years, FMC will continue to develop and innovate, and other projects are being registered with Paraguay's Senave (National Service for Plant and Seed Quality and Health), including fungicides, insecticides and biocontrol products.
FMC South America emphasized that this product has been proven to be sustainable and effective in controlling various pests in other countries, and the introduction of Amethyst is very important to the Paraguay market.
