Recently, Sipcam Nichino revealed to AgroPages that it has launched an innovative herbicide ET-Part in Brazil, containing the active ingredient pyraclostrobin.
ET-Part is formulated in the form of emulsifiable concentrate (EC) to control weeds through contact and defoliation, especially suitable for the drying period before harvest of legumes. This protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibitor can quickly inhibit the activity of enzymes in plant chloroplasts under light. The company said that ET-Part is practical and environmentally friendly to operate, and it can effectively promote the drying of legumes, improve harvesting efficiency and achieve uniform maturity. In addition to legumes, ET-Part is also approved for other crops such as cotton and potatoes.
Pyraclostrobin is a new molecule in Brazil, and its registration application was recently approved by the Brazilian agricultural department. Sipcam Nichino Brasil has obtained the exclusive distribution rights for the product in Brazil.
As one of the suppliers of chemical solutions for the Brazilian soybean industry, Sipcam Nichino Brasil, in addition to its fungicide, insecticide, herbicide and miticide product lines, has recently launched a biostimulant platform focused on the nutrition of legume crops.
