Pymetrozine belongs to the pyridine or triazone insecticides, which are non-biocidal insecticides. This product shows excellent control effects on piercing-sucking mouthparts pests of various crops. Pymetrozine has a contact killing effect on pests and also has systemic activity. It can be transported in both the xylem and the phloem in the plant body; therefore, it can be used as a foliar spray or for soil treatment. Due to its good transport characteristics, the newly grown branches and leaves after the stem and leaf spray can also be effectively protected.
Features
1. Strong selectivity: This product has excellent selectivity and is almost harmless to some important natural enemies or beneficial insects, such as the natural enemy of cotton bollworm, the seven-spotted ladybug, the common lacewings, the leafhopper, and the natural enemy spider of the planthopper family.
2. Excellent systemic activity: Foliar tests show that its systemic activity (LC50) is 2-3 times that of cypermethrin and more than 140 times that of cypermethrin.
3. It can prevent and control resistant strains of pests such as peach aphids that are resistant to organophosphate and carbamate insecticides.
