Thiamethoxam is used to control aphids, whiteflies, thrips, planthoppers, and leafhoppers

Thiamethoxam is a new type of nicotinoid insecticide that is highly effective, low-toxic, and broad-spectrum. It has good stomach poison and contact activity, and is highly systemic. After being absorbed by plant leaves, it is quickly transmitted to various parts of the plant. So, what are the targets of thiamethoxam? Do you know the effects of thiamethoxam? How to use it effectively? Let's learn about it together.

Targets of thiamethoxam

Thiamethoxam is a low-toxic insecticide. It can kill pests by contact and stomach, that is, not only will the insects die when sprayed on them, but even after being sprayed, the insects will die if they continue to suck plant juice. It is very effective and is very effective against pests such as aphids, planthoppers, leafhoppers, and whiteflies. At the same time, this drug is also toxic to bees, so you need to be careful.

Effects of thiamethoxam

(1) Broad insecticide spectrum and significant control effect: It has significant control effect on piercing-sucking pests such as aphids, whiteflies, thrips, planthoppers, leafhoppers, and potato beetles.
(2) Strong systemic conduction: absorbed by leaves or roots and quickly conducted to other parts.
(3) Advanced dosage form, flexible application: can be used as foliar spray, soil treatment.
(4) Rapid action, long lasting effect: can quickly enter plant tissues, resistant to rain erosion, lasting effect for 2-4 weeks.
(5) Low toxicity, low residue: suitable for pollution-free production.

How to use thiamethoxam effectively

Rice planthoppers are sprayed at the early stage of nymph occurrence. Generally, 2-4 grams of 25% water-dispersible granules are used per 667 square meters, and 30-40 kilograms of water are added to spray the rice fields evenly.

Cotton aphids, whiteflies, and thrips are sprayed at the early stage of pest occurrence. 13-26 grams of 25% water-dispersible granules are used per 667 square meters, and 45-60 kilograms of water are added to spray evenly. Seed coating can also be performed. For every 10 kg of seeds, 30-60 g of 70% seed treatment dispersible granules can be used for seed coating.

Spraying of whiteflies and aphids on cruciferous vegetables, eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, etc. starts from the initial stage of pest occurrence. Use 10-15 g of 25% water dispersible granules per 667 square meters, add 30-45 kg of water and spray evenly; or use 0.12-0.2 g of 25% water dispersible granules per plant and add 200-250 ml of water to irrigate the roots at the initial stage of pest occurrence.

Whiteflies and aphids on cucumbers and other melons start from pests. Start spraying at the beginning of the outbreak, use 10-20 grams of 25% water-dispersible granules per 667 square meters, and spray evenly with 40-60 kilograms of water.

Rapeseed, watermelon, and tobacco aphids should be sprayed from the early stage of aphid outbreak to before the outbreak, and the dosage is the same as that of "cucumber whitefly".

Thrips in winter melon should be sprayed from the early stage of the outbreak, use 10-15 grams of 25% water-dispersible granules per 667 square meters, and spray evenly with 45-60 kilograms of water.

Flower aphids and thrips should be sprayed from the early stage of the outbreak, and the spraying dosage is the same as that of "thrips in winter melon".

Sugarcane aphids should be sprayed from the early stage of aphid outbreak, generally using 25% water-dispersible granules at 8000-10000 times dilution for uniform spraying.

Apple aphids should be sprayed from the early stage of aphid outbreak, generally using 25% water-dispersible granules at 5000-7000 times dilution for uniform spraying.

Pear psyllids should be sprayed at the early stage of each generation of nymphs (before they are completely covered by mucus), generally using 25% water-dispersible granules at 6000-8000 times dilution for uniform spraying.
